#260 mit Peter Docker, Ex Royal Airforce Pilot Instructor, Founder WhyNot; Speaker, Teacher, Coach
Shownotes
Our current guest was a Royal Air Force pilot for 24 years. During this time he also held various management positions in the UK Ministry of Defense (MoD). Among other things, he was the Deputy Team Leader negotiating the largest civil MoD contract that included the purchase of Airbus aircraft and other infrastructure worth 13 billion pounds. During this time he began to work as a personal coach for leadership and management. He has been doing this as co-founder of Why Not since 2007. He is the Co-Author of “Find Your Why: A Practical Guide for Discovering Purpose for You and Your Team” which is the (I think even better) Workbook to Simon Sinek's “Start with Why”. The book was published in 26 languages and sold over 380,000 times. Today he describes himself as a Speaker, a Teacher and a Navigator.
Since 4 years we are on our “way to new work”. How can a topic that plays such an important part in our everyday life create more meaning in our lives again? How do we get people to draw strength and motivation from their daily work again? How can one succeed in living a happy, healthy, productive and fulfilling life even in such difficult times? We are looking for methods, role models, experiences, tools and ideas that bring us closer to the core of New Work! We are always concerned with the question of whether everyone can really find and live what they really, really want in their innermost being. How can we make sure that each and everyone of us will find their inner driving force.
You are at “On the Way to New Work” - today with Peter Docker.
